The Harborview Medical Center has confirmed the death of Summer Taylor (24) from Seattle. A spokeswoman for the hospital, Susan Gregg, was quoted by the Seattle Times. The other patient, Diaz Love (32), who lives in Portland, Oregon, is hospitalized with a difficult prognosis in the intensive care unit.
The Washington State Patrol has identified the driver as Dawit Kelete (27) from Seattle, who has already been admitted to King County Prison for vehicle attacks. The investigation rules out that it was an accident when Kelete deliberately drove in the opposite direction to get onto the Interstate 5 freeway cut by protesters.
