The deputy director of the National Health Commission of China, Li Bin, announced Wednesday that the number of deaths from the new outbreak of coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Wuhan has increased to nine, while cases of pneumonia sufferers caused by the virus are already encrypted in 440, as reported by the official Chinese news agency, Xinhua.
Various cities in the region, such as Bangkok, Hong Kong, Seoul or Sydney, are increasing precautionary measures against the virus, which was first detected in the town of Wuhan, so they have introduced mandatory analyzes at the arrival terminals of airports where there could be a greater indication of the disease.
In addition, a team of experts from the National Health Commission of China has confirmed the person-to-person transmission of the coronavirus and the spread of medical personnel.
Coronaviruses are a large family of respiratory viruses that can cause diseases ranging from the common cold to the Middle East respiratory syndrome and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
The clinical signs and symptoms of the patients reported in this group are mainly fever, with some having difficulty breathing and chest radiographs showing bilateral pulmonary infiltrates.
