In Nicaragua, a total of 3,672 people were infected and 116 died of the coronavirus pandemic, although 2,731 patients have recovered. This emerges from the balance offered by the Ministry of Health in the past few hours.
According to Tuesday’s official announcement, 233 new cases and eight other deaths were registered during the week of July 14-28, while another 239 COVID-19 cases persisted.
The Nicaraguan authorities have explained in detail that people who have been treated for coronaviruses have “frequently associated diseases”, such as: As high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus or obesity.
However, the Citizen Observatory, a group of organizations dedicated to the surveillance of COVID-19 in Nicaragua, has reported 8,755 cases, including 744 healthcare workers, and 2,487 deaths, including 99 healthcare professionals, by July 22 collected information.
