MADRID, Sep. 20 (EUROPE PRESS) –
At least three children have died and two others have been injured this Friday in Mozambique because of the explosion of an explosive device with which they were playing after finding it in the town of Tete, in the west of the African country.
Hospital sources cited by the local television network Miramar have confirmed that the two injured – an eleven-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy – have been admitted and are undergoing surgery.
Residents of the area have indicated that they suspected the presence of explosive devices at the site because during the conflict it housed a military base in a mountainous area near Tete.
At the moment, it is unknown how the children found the explosive, which is why the authorities have announced the opening of an investigation.
