The storm ‘Lorena’ strengthens off the coast of Mexico

The storm 'Lorena' has become a hurricane on Thursday in front of the Mexican state of Colima, in the west of the country, as reported by the National Hurricane Center (NHC).

'Lorena' is located about 55 kilometers southwest of Manzanillo, in Mexico, with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour, according to the NHC.

The hurricane is expected to approach southern Baja California this Friday night and Saturday, according to the Miami-based NHC.
