Prime Minister of Japan will meet with Rohani in New York

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe reported Tuesday that he will meet with Iran’s President Hasan Rohani later this month as regional tensions rise in the Middle East following attacks on Saudi oil facilities , as reported by the NHK chain.

Abe has reiterated his intention to speak with Rohani on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, in New York, during a meeting with members of the ruling Democratic Liberal Party, according to NHK.

Abe has also stressed that he would travel to Belgium after the session of the General Assembly and that he would meet with the president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker.
