JERUSALEM, Aug. 26 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the construction of 300 new homes in the West Bank settlement of Dolev, in whose vicinity an Israeli teenager was killed last Friday by the explosion of a home-made device.
“We will deepen our roots and strike our enemies,” proclaimed Netanyahu, determined to “continue strengthening and developing” settlements in occupied territories, one of the main sources of dispute for a hypothetical peace agreement with the Palestinians.
The UN has repeatedly criticized the expansion of Israeli settlements built in the occupied Palestinian territory since 1967, which includes East Jerusalem. He maintains that they violate International Law and constitute an obstacle to the creation of two States.
On Friday, an intentional explosion resulted in the death of a 17-year-old girl, Queen Shrneb, and injured her father and brother. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have not yet arrested anyone for their possible relationship with this attack, according to 'The Jerusalem Post'.
