Mozambique’s employer president shot up

The President of the Confederation of Business Associations in Mozambique, the country’s main employer, Agostinho Vuma, was shot and hospitalized in a health center in the state capital, Maputo.

Vuma was taken in consciously, even though he is in intensive care, as the Instituto del Corazón hospital explained, and collects the Mozambican newspaper ‘O País’.

Several business people have traveled to the hospital to show solidarity with Vuma. Manuel Pereira, President of the Mozambican Contractors Federation, has indicated that he is stable and aware.

Vuma was shot at the exit of his office and the police have opened an investigation into what happened. Eyewitnesses affirm that two shots were fired at Vuma.
