Morocco confirms more than a hundred new cases of coronavirus and exceeds the threshold of 16,000 infections

The Moroccan government has confirmed more than a hundred new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours this Tuesday, with which the African country has exceeded the threshold of 16,000 infections since the pandemic began.

The Department of Health has detailed that 111 new infections were confirmed on the last day, for a total of 16,407, with 256 deaths and 13,403 recoveries, including 469 on the last day.

On the other hand, the National Railway Authority (ONCF) has announced that it will resume train services to and from Tangier on Wednesday, which was arrested on Monday for the increase in the number of coronavirus cases.

The ONFC has indicated that the resumption of service will affect connections between Tangier and the cities of Fez and Casablanca, according to the Moroccan state news agency MAP.
