Elalamy has told Parliament that although around 50 million such masks have been stored, exports will be suspended if the national market needs to be supplied after the containment has been released, according to the Moroccan CARD reported by the state news agency.
For the time being, the minister has ruled out exports of reusable fabric masks, as not enough has been manufactured yet.
The Moroccan minister also recalled that the country had previously successfully exported other protective equipment and medical supplies, although it is currently working to expand its production of artificial respirators.
