The President of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, assured this Friday that despite the coronavirus pandemic, the government has managed to save more than 56,000 jobs due to the implementation of the humanitarian assistance law.
“Shortening the working day was the solution for companies striving to make progress,” said the president, who also highlighted the creation of 104,000 jobs. “All efforts are paying off,” he added.
According to Moreno, the results are “evidence” that he is on the “right track” to economically reactivate the country and emphasize the importance of generating more income and well-being for Ecuadorian families, reports the newspaper “El Comercio” . .
Ecuadorian health officials confirmed this Friday that the country had hit 117,175 infections while the death toll stood at 6,674.
