More than 60 people were arrested during protests demanding the resignation of the Bulgarian Prime Minister

More than 60 people were arrested this Thursday in the Bulgarian capital during clashes with police after another day of protest after more than 50 days of demonstrations to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Boiko Borisov.

The streets of Sofia were the scene of clashes between some protesters and security forces in the early hours of Thursday, who have confirmed that two of their agents were injured by throwing bottles, stones and fireworks.

“That day we saw organized and deliberate attacks,” said Defense Minister Krasimir Karakachanov in a text posted on his social networks.

Karakachanov has assured that “a group of provocateurs who have nothing to do with the ordinary Bulgarian people” will be “funded” to “spread terror in the country”.
