More than 4.7 million people have been infected with COVID-19, which corresponds to 315,000 deaths worldwide

Worldwide, more than 4.7 million people have been infected with the corona virus in a pandemic that has already caused at least 315,000 deaths and in which the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Spain are the most affected countries on the number of cases.

The United States tops the list with nearly 1.5 million positive results. The North American country has around 315,000 deaths, more than 28,000 of which are in New York State, and more than 272,000 discharged patients, which also puts the United States at the forefront of deaths and recoveries at Johns Hopkins University.

With just over 2,600 deaths, Russia has more than 281,000 people infected, making it the second largest country in the world with the highest number of cases. ahead of the United Kingdom, which accumulates around 245,000 infected and around 35,000 deaths. In the case of Russia, however, the official death toll is much lower at just over 2,600.

Brazil continues its upward trend with more than 241,000 infected and more than 16,100 deaths, which has led it to overtake Spain in the past few days, which appears in this equilibrium with 230,000 positives and around 27,500 deaths. Italy also exceeds 200,000 cases – particularly 225,000 – and accumulates around 32,000 deaths from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
