More than 3,000 Melbourne residents are returning to custody after a new outbreak of the corona virus

The authorities in the Australian state of Victoria announced on Saturday that they would return to isolating around 3,000 residents from nine apartment blocks in the city of Melbourne after daily coronavirus infections were triggered, as reported by the 9News chain.

“Nine towers of houses in two Melbourne suburbs were immediately isolated for fear of a coronavirus outbreak,” the chain said at the start of a restriction that will last five days after 108 new cases of infection were registered in the area, the coronavirus.

There have been 8,362 coronavirus cases in the country, 104 of which are fatal, while the state of Victoria has had the highest number of new infections in the country for several days.

“Today’s number is the second largest increase in confirmed cases since the beginning and the largest increase since March 28th. These numbers show that we are still on the brink of the abyss,” said the Prime Minister. Dan Andrews on his Twitter account.

In this context, the authorities have determined that all residents of the nine buildings are subjected to a coronavirus test.
