Mexico’s Ministry of Health this Monday confirmed 700,580 accumulated cases, of which 502,982 equals people who managed to overcome the disease and an additional 73,697 patients have died.
Epidemiology Director José Luis Alomía reported during his daily appearance that nearly 1.6 million tests were done to detect the new coronavirus, with 38 percent positive results.
Alomía has elaborated that health officials estimate a total of 731,617 cases of coronavirus, of which 30,566 were still active. It was also reported that 75,391 people had died from the pandemic by the time of confirmation, 1,694 more than those who were confirmed.
In terms of general care hospital occupancy, Nayarit and Colima have availability of less than 50 percent, 46 and 48 percent, respectively. Of the 30,775 beds, 9,103 are occupied, according to the Ministry of Health.
For the states with the highest ICU occupancy, Mexico City and Aguascalientes have 60 percent availability. At the national level, nearly 8,000 beds are available with respirators, of which more than 10,500 are medical services available.
