Mexico tops 65,000 coronavirus deaths and records nearly 6,500 more cases

Mexico’s health ministry this Tuesday confirmed the deaths of 65,241 people caused by the coronavirus, 827 more than the previous day, while the number of accumulated cases is 606,036 after 6,476 cases diagnosed in the past 24 hours.

The Mexican Government’s Director-General of Epidemiology, José Luis Alomía, has reported an estimated 637,752 cases and 66,974 deaths have accumulated.

The number of cases recovered is 421,373 while the number of active cases is 6 percent of the total, which is 39,073. On the other hand, 77,129 are examined.

Regarding the regions with the highest number of active cases, it is again Mexico City with 4,521; Nuevo León with 2,467; and Guanajuato with 2,140.
