Mexico’s Ministry of Health confirmed the deaths of 57,043 people this Monday after adding 266 people in the past 24 hours, a 55 percent decrease from the previous week.
This was explained by the Director General of Epidemiology of the Mexican Government, José Luis Alomía, who has also reported 3,571 new positives, for a total of 525,733 accumulated cases, most of which were registered in Mexico City, with 86,619; and the state of Mexico at 61,620.
Similarly, Alomía has stated that the authorities estimate a peak value of functions at 59,000, while the positive ones are in more than 560,500.
On the other hand, it has been reported that on the final day, 1,181,695 people took the COVID-19 test, 45 percent of whom tested positive, while 359,347 patients were discharged after passing the disease.
Since the press conference in the National Palace, Alomía has once again described in detail the situation regarding the occupation of hospital beds, which does not exceed 38 percent for general treatment beds, while that of care intensive is around 34 percent.
