Mexico registered more than 6,000 new daily cases this Friday, exceeding 620,000 positive cases since the pandemic began. This emerges from the latest assessment by the Ministry of Health.
Mexican health officials said there had been an additional 522 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll in the country to 66,851.
The number of positives was also specifically encoded with 623,090 with the 6,196 infections registered on the last day.
In this context, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has asked political parties to “tighten their belts” in their budget in order to assign it to the emergency triggered by the pandemic.
