Mexico registers 290 coronavirus deaths in one day and surpasses China in deaths

Mexico reported this Friday that it has registered 290 new corona virus deaths in the last 24 hours, increasing the country’s total credit to 4,767, overtaking China in the number of pandemic deaths as the Asian country accounts for 4,633 .

Overall, health officials have reported that there are 45,032 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mexico, with 2,437 more cases registered on the last day, according to the Mexican press.

Most deaths occurred in Mexico City with 1,197 deaths and in Baja California with 518 deaths.

As reported by social networks, Mexico’s State Secretary for Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell, there are 29,028 suspected coronavirus cases in the country and 462 deaths are still suspected to be caused by this virus.
