As of April, Mexico recorded 2,370 willful murders, meaning that an average of 79 people were murdered in the country every day, according to the authorities.
The companies that reported the most crimes of this type were Guanajuato with 310 cases, Michoacán with 244, State of Mexico 192, Jalisco 189, and Baja California with 157.
Despite the fact that the number of murders is high compared to March, the incidence of this crime fell by 3 percent in April. In the previous month, 2,444 deliberate murders were reported.
The authorities’ figures also show that the most violent days in April were Tuesday the 13th and Sunday the 25th, with 105 and 115 murders respectively.
Currently, Mexico has amassed 9,399 malicious murders this year.
