Mexico has registered more than 2,400 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, with nearly 4,500 deaths

Mexican Health Ministry’s Director General for Epidemilogy José Luis Alomía reported this Thursday that a total of 2,409 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in the country, while the number of deaths from the disease has reached 4,477.

At a press conference, the Mexican health authorities said that the new confirmed cases have increased the positive balance of the coronavirus in Mexico to 42,595. In parallel, Alomia indicated that 10,057 cases are still active.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked his political opponents this Thursday to put “hate” aside and “think in the general interest”.
