Mexico has 4,700 other cases of coronavirus and exceeds 175,000 infections

The Mexican health authorities reported this Saturday that 4,717 additional cases of coronavirus were registered, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 175,202.

According to the latest balance offered by the Ministry of Health, a total of 20,781 people died from COVID-19 in Mexico when 387 deaths occurred in the last 24 hours.

Epidemiology Director José Luis Alomía has detailed that there are 23,567 cases known as the “active epidemic”. These are positive cases that have been confirmed in the past 14 days and that can still transmit the virus. In addition, it was stated that 895 coronavirus deaths are suspected.

According to El Universal newspaper, Alomia has over 25,000 beds across the country to care for potential patients.
