Mexico has exceeded 378,000 positive coronavirus levels this Friday, causing over 7,500 new infections and 737 deaths in the past 24 hours. This is clear from the latest status of the health authorities.
Mexico’s State Secretary for Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell, has reported that the total number of cases has reached 378,285. A total of 42,645 people died from the pandemic.
Regarding hospital employment, he said there are 30,352 beds for COVID-19 patients in the country, of which 16,077 are available and more than 14,000 are occupied. This is evident from the most recent balance collected by the newspaper ‘El Universal’. .
The authorities have also reported a total of 6,301 beds that are free of intensive care units or have a mechanical respirator and 3,889 are occupied.
