Mexico exceeds 25,000 deaths and 200,000 accumulated cases of COVID-19

The Mexican Ministry of Health confirmed 25,060 deaths and 202,951 accumulated cases of COVID-19 this Thursday after 736 more deaths and 6,104 new positive results.

Mexico City and the state of Mexico are still the regions that have borne the greatest weight of the pandemic in the country since the start of the health crisis, even though they are the municipalities of Puebla in the state of the same name with almost 1,500 infections and León in Guanajuato with around 800 People who have the most active cases so far.

Iztapalapa with 1,070 and Gustavo A. Madero with 946 in Mexico City are the municipalities with the highest number of deaths from COVID-19.

The Under Secretary of State for Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell, for his part, has reconciled sanitation for June 25 with criticism from some media sectors that have recently accused him of predicting the end of the crisis.
