Mexico begins vaccinating educational staff against COVID-19 in six other facilities

Mexico began vaccinating educational workers this Tuesday in the states of Colima, Durango, Guanajato, Michoacán, Morelos and San Luis Potosí, while vaccination of that sector continues in the states of Jalisco and Nuevo León.

So far, the country has achieved the use of 18.8 million doses, 354,566 of which were administered on the last day, Hugo López-Gatell, Undersecretary of State for Prevention and Health Promotion, detailed.

Specifically, 943,423 teachers received the vaccine while 1,025,373 health professionals purchased at least one dose.

In order to continue the vaccination, the Federal Commission for Protection against Health Risks (Cofepris) will release more than a million doses this week.

On the other hand, the Mexican Ministry of Health has reported 2,352,964 accumulated cases, of which 3,064 were registered on the last day. 217,140 are deaths, 395 in the last 24 hours.
