Mexico adds another 4,600 cases of coronavirus and more than 600 deaths to its balance

Mexican health officials reported this Wednesday that there had been an additional 4,600 new cases of COVID-19 and more than 600 additional deaths in the past 24 hours.

In particular, 4,647 positive and 611 deaths have been confirmed, according to the country’s health ministry, bringing the global numbers to 647,507 and 69,095 respectively.

During the appearance, Undersecretary of State for Prevention and Health Promotion Hugo López-Gatell announced that he would meet with the Russian government this Thursday after an agreement was signed between the two countries to ensure the supply of 32 million doses of Russian vaccine against the disease.

According to the newspaper ‘El Universal’, the doses would be distributed from November this year, when Mexican regulators approve the vaccine called Sputnik V.
