The blockchain scalability solution, Matic has launched a data protection-oriented mobile corona virus tracking app.
According to an announcement on April 29, the new app, Tracy is called Tracy and uses the Matic network for contact monitoring and quarantine management. The solution also uses a decentralized data storage solution, MóiBit, to store confidential data.
Tracy is said to be the first blockchain-based solution designed for quarantine management and contact tracking. The application is designed so that users understand the likelihood of being in contact with someone who has tested positive for the corona virus.
Matic is a second layer scalability solution that uses side chains to remove the calculation from the chain. The solution uses the plasma network together with a network of proof-of-stake validators for the security of assets.
Matic did not respond to Cointelegraph’s request for comment until the time of printing.
