Mass grave from the time of the Al-Bashir regime in Sudan with the bodies of 28 suspected putschists

The Sudanese government has announced the discovery of a mass grave containing the bodies of 28 suspected coup leaders who have been executed by the forces of the now overthrown dictator Omar Hasán al Bashir.

Prosecutors estimated that the men were executed for plotting to overthrow Al Bashir in 1990, just a year after the dictator took power in a military coup.

If their identity is confirmed, it is the group of soldiers who surrounded the Army headquarters and several camps in April 1990 before they were arrested and killed.
