Mahatma Gandhi glasses auctioned for 288,000 euros

The British auction house East Bristol Auction has sold glasses belonging to the leader of Indian independence Mahatma Gandhi to an American collector for £ 260,000 (more than 288,000 euros).

The auction agency itself reported that the sale closed after six minutes of auction this Friday.

A House spokesman Andrew Stowe has told the BBC that it is a record for the organization, “Star Lot of the Century” as it was expected to hit around £ 15,000 for the item.
