Maduro announces a weekend of “safe flexibilization” for children and adults over 65

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced this Friday a weekend of “safe flexibilization” of the country’s quarantine to stop the progression of the coronavirus pandemic, which will allow children and people over 65 to enter the country leave .

“I have ordered a new day of flexible flexibilization for this Saturday and Sunday,” said Maduro via his account on the social network Twitter.

So people over 65 can go outside between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m., while children and teenagers can do so from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. “Energy Renewal Days to continue the struggle for the country’s life,” added the President.

Venezuela’s Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, has reminded people who will use the permit to leave “the importance of social distancing and the mandatory use of a mask”.
