Los Angeles is reopening its restaurants despite the recent increase in cases in California

Los Angeles County received Friday Friday permission from the State of California to reopen restaurants and resume services in hair salons and beauty salons. This marks the beginning of a new phase in the region’s efforts to revitalize the small and medium-sized businesses in this sector.

The move takes place, although the county is still the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak in California with more than 2,200 deaths.

More than half of all state deaths occurred in Los Angeles County, which reopened more slowly than the areas least affected by the outbreak. The total number of confirmed infections in Los Angeles County is more than 50,000, which is almost half of all cases in California.

State governor Gavin Newsom and other health officials wanted to point out that despite continuing coronavirus deaths, the county is ready for this next phase, considering the reduction in hospital admissions, infection rates, and increased testing opportunities.
