López Obrador drew attention to the vaccines developed in Russia and China, the first countries to register a drug against COVID-19, when Mexico and Argentina announced an agreement that includes the Carlos Slim Foundation, the University of China, Oxford and AstraZeneca receive vaccine for Latin America.
“If the vaccine is first available in Russia or China and it is shown to be effective in saving lives (…) we will establish communications and go ahead when available,” he added, adding that he was would even speak “personally” to his Russian colleagues. and possibly Chinese.
