The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, promised this Sunday to improve the Mexican health system and to help families who have lost someone due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The president has said he will rule without “waste” having an “efficient” public budget that guarantees the well-being of citizens. It is also committed to preventing the occurrence of diseases caused by “hunger and poverty”.
He has said that the government will “guarantee people’s right to health with free medical care, tests, tests, vaccines and medicines”.
“We will never turn our backs on those who suffer and need us. Nothing human is not foreign,” reports the president of the newspaper ‘El Universal’.
The Mexican Ministry of Health reported more than 5,000 new cases of COVID-19 this Sunday, increasing the total number in the country to 344,224 positive cases. In addition, 296 people have been killed in the past 24 hours, killing 39,184 people in the country as a result of the pandemic.
