Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said on Sunday that the country had managed to “tame” the new corona virus, as the horizontal growth of the pandemic has shown and defended in contrast to other countries.
“We are doing well because the pandemic has been tamed instead of being triggered, as has unfortunately happened elsewhere. Here the growth has been horizontal and this has allowed us to prepare very well for everything that is required for medical devices.” The president has insured through his social networks.
López Obrador from the National Palace emphasized that there is no saturation of the health system in Mexico, as there is still 70 percent availability between beds, intensive care units, ventilators and specialists.
The Mexican president began his intervention by pushing ahead with some of the economic measures the government is planning to take to deal with the economic crisis caused by the pandemic of the new corona virus.
