British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab has reported that the Russian Ambassador was summoned in London this Monday to express the British government’s “deep concern” about the “poisoning” of Russian opponent Alexei Navalni hospitalized in Berlin.
“Today the United Kingdom called the Russian Ambassador to the United Kingdom to express his deep concern about the poisoning of Alexei Navalni,” Raab said on his Twitter account.
“The use of a banned chemical weapon is totally unacceptable and Russia should conduct a full and transparent investigation,” he added.
In addition, Raab has expressed “relief” at the news that Navalni has emerged from an induced coma. “I hope his forecast continues to improve,” he added.
