Libya Announces Five-Day Prison Sentence for Increased Coronavirus Cases

July 31, 2020

The Libyan government has imposed a total of five days on Thursday to reduce the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the country where more than 3,400 cases have already been registered.

The birth coincides with the Feast of Sacrifice, the second most important in Islam, and starts this Friday at 4:00 p.m.

The decision implies that Libyan cities will be closed completely, it will not be possible to move from one place to another, and meetings with large numbers of people, especially in recreational areas and parks, are prohibited.
