Get these strategies.

1. Structure your breaks

Your creativity decreases when you force yourself to work for long periods of time. Try out the Pomodoro technique. It’s simple: take a break of five every 25 minutes. If you are concerned that short blocks will prevent you from doing the job right away, use them as motivation to work faster. Depending on your company and the type of tasks you have, you may not be able to take frequent and scheduled breaks. If so, plan to rest after routine tasks. Good rest times are shortly before or after meetings, after completing a daily task, and when preparing to switch between situations or projects. Not only are these rhythms practical, they also give your brain a few minutes to process what you’ve just completed before delving into something new.

2. A wandering mind is a productive mind

One of the most effective ways to spend your breaks is to do nothing. It is a difficult task for workaholics. However, avoid the temptation by running errands, watching social media, or doing anything else that directly affects your brain. Although only sitting, standing, or walking around seems unproductive, this downtime is critical to optimizing cognitive function. Research has shown that it is important to give your brain time to rest so that you can perform important mental processes, e.g. B. 3. Sync your own breaks

If your work mainly involves individual work, breaks are the perfect opportunity to connect with your employees.
