On Lapid’s agenda are the inauguration of the Israeli embassy in the Bahraini capital and the signing of “various bilateral agreements”. The Minister will be accompanied by the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alon Ushpiz, and the Deputy Director General for Middle East Affairs and the Peace Process, Oded Joseph.

The agreement between Israel and Bahrain to normalize relations came about after the Israeli government signed a similar pact with the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Then came Sudan and Morocco.

Lapid himself recently traveled to the United Arab Emirates to open the Israeli embassy and consulate in that country and then paid a visit to Morocco to strengthen bilateral ties, a trip that also included Israel’s diplomatic mission in the Opened land in Rabat African.
