The Kuwait government has announced the ban, with immediate effect, on flights from 31 high-risk countries, including Spain, to help recover from coronavirus infections.
The ban is unlimited until a new order is placed and coincides with a day on which the country has resumed international flights after a five-month break.
Countries and citizens affected include Italy, China, Iran, Brazil, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon and Iraq, which “follow the instructions of the Kuwaiti health authorities,” according to the official Kuwaiti news agency KUNA. .
The statement does not clarify whether Kuwait, between the reopening of its international flights, has restricted the routes to the countries affected by this new entry ban.
