King Salman of Saudi Arabia has reappeared publicly to host a government meeting at the King Faisal Specialized Hospital in Riyadh, where he was admitted to medical tests for cholecystitis on Monday.
Since his stay in hospital for this gallbladder inflammation, his health has not been reported, which has fueled previous speculation about the true status of the Saudi monarch.
On Tuesday evening, King Salman reappeared on state television to host a virtual executive meeting in which he took the opportunity to thank Allah for his health and health personnel for the medical care he received.
The cabinet then turned to government affairs, focusing on the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, and in particular on the preventive measures to be taken in view of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Hajj. The local newspaper ‘Saudi Gazette’ reported.
