The Al Shabaab terrorist group is increasingly intermingling with Somalia’s security forces with the aim of launching a large-scale attack that will enable them to seize political power in the African country through a coup d’état in Kenya.
The attacks by the Somalia-based terrorist group are part of the campaign to force Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta to withdraw the Kenyan army from Somalia, where they are fighting the terrorist group to pacify the troubled nation.
The Kenyan government also reported this Sunday that it has thwarted a series of attacks and kidnappings that the terrorist organization had planned in the holy month of Ramadan. This emerges from confidential reports of the newspaper “The Nation”.
The interruption of these attacks was possible thanks to the cooperation between the Kenyan army and the intelligence services of the African country, which nevertheless warn that the group has apparently strengthened its operational structure.
