Thousands of Pakistani journalists took to the streets on Friday to protest the attack on a reporter criticizing the country’s powerful army.
Demonstrations by human rights defenders, lawyers and students took place in major cities in the country this Friday in response to a call by the Federal Union of Journalists of Pakistan, which brings together several media workers’ unions.
