Jordan will reopen its airports for international flights on August 5, after months of restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This was announced this Saturday by the country’s highest civil aviation representative, Haitham Misto, who has assured that the country’s airports will receive flights from some “selected” countries.

The Jordanian Executive Minister for Communications, Amjad Adaileh, confirmed that the gradual reopening of the airports will follow the hygiene protocols and will allow entry into a group of countries according to their epidemiological classification.

Finally, the authorities of the Ministry of Health, the Epidemiology Committee and the Crisis Committee will determine the criteria for foreign nationals to enter the country.
