UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson received the report this Monday of the alleged parties being held at Downing Street during the worst moments of the pandemic, as confirmed by the UK executive itself.
“We can confirm that Sue Gray (the officer in charge of the investigation) has provided the Prime Minister with an update on her investigation,” said a government spokesman, quoted by Sky News.
The report is expected to be published in a few hours and the “Prime Minister” will appear in the House of Commons.
Scotland Yard on Friday urged Gray to provide “minimal references” to the events mentioned when releasing his document while police continue their investigation, in full criticism of Johnson, whose political future is up in the air over the allegation celebrations.
Johnson pledged Thursday that he was “not in any way” delaying the release of the report. Also, he has promised that it will be released in its entirety upon completion.
