A new packaging that is made entirely of paper and is environmentally friendly will be the new presentation of the Johnnie Walker. This was announced on his website Diageo, Company that has the signature of the renowned whiskey.

“We’re constantly striving to push our sustainable packaging to the limit, and this bottle has the potential to be truly revolutionary,” said Ewan Andrew, Chieff Sustainability Officer at Diageo

The bottle, developed in collaboration with Pilot Lite, is the first of its kind. The innovative packaging implements cellulose pulp technology for its manufacture and does not use plastics. This means that it can be completely recycled in waste standards.

“With this technology, other brands can meditate on their packaging designs or even encourage them to switch their existing designs to paper models,” Diageo wrote in the statement on his website.

The reason for the combination of Diageo and Pilot Lite for the development of this new presentation is the announcement of the establishment of Pulpex Limited. Company that has developed the formula for the next Johnnie Walker packaging and will act as the new market leader in sustainable packaging technology.

The launch of the new bottle of Scotch Whiskey is expected to be announced in early 2021.
