The Italian authorities reported 1,869 new infections and 17 deaths from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours this Saturday, slightly fewer than the 1,912 infections and 20 deaths on Friday.
A total of 35,818 deaths and 308,104 infections have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic. There are 2,746 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, 247 of them in intensive care.
No region has reported zero cases, and Campania leads the way with 274 infections, followed by Lombardy (256) and Lazio (219). Immediately thereafter, Veneto lies within 24 hours with 216 cases.
The contagion curve in Campania climbs and rises from 253 to 274 positive in one day and has already added 460 deaths. Lombardy has counted four deaths and has a percentage of 1.36 percent in 30 patients in the intensive care unit.
