The Italian government this Sunday confirmed 463 new cases of coronavirus in the country’s final hours, but only two more deaths, a significant decrease compared to the 13 deaths recorded on Saturday.
This number of deaths is the lowest since February, according to estimates by the newspaper ‘Il Messaggero’.
In particular, 250,566 people have suffered from the disease in the country since the declaration of the pandemic, while 35,205 people have died, according to the balance offered by Civil Defense.
The number of daily cases is an increase from around 347 cases registered on Saturday and a total of 202,098 people have recovered from the disease according to the equilibrium. There are currently 13,263 active cases, meaning deaths and layoffs are discounted. A total of 45 people are in the intensive care unit, two more than the day before.
Lombardy is again the hardest hit region with 16,833 deaths and 96,853 cases, 71 more than on Saturday, followed by Piedmont and Emilia-Romagna.
