Italy has registered a record number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19, with almost 4,700 discharged, in the past 24 hours, and added another 285 deaths, a decrease from the previous day, according to civil protection.
In particular, a further 4,693 patients recovered on the last day, for a total of 75,945, while the number of deaths for the new deceased was 28,000, with 27,967 deceased.
Since the pandemic started, Italy has registered 205,463 cases, of which 101,551 are still active. This represents a decrease of 3,106 from Wednesday, the most significant decrease in a single day, and doubles the 2,311 cured patients counted on Wednesday.
In addition, the pressure on hospitals and intensive care units continues to decrease. There are 18,149 hospitalized patients – 1,061 fewer than on the previous day – and 1,694 in the intensive care unit, 101 fewer. The remaining 81,708 are isolated at home and have mild or asymptomatic symptoms.
