The emergence of coronavirus cases from India in Italy has been of concern since Tuesday, as the Governor of Veneto, Luca Zaia, confirmed the presence of the Indian variant in Italy this Monday.
“In Veneto we recorded the first two cases of the Indian variant in two people from the same family. They are father and daughter who have probably traveled from India to Italy,” Zaia announced to the Adnkronos agency.
On the other hand, the commissioner responsible for the COVID-19 emergency has reported that 2.2 million doses of Pfizer’s vaccine against the coronavirus will be distributed in the regions of the country as of Wednesday.
