The Italian authorities reported 249 new corona virus positives this Saturday – 16 more than on Friday – and 14 deaths, totaling 244,216 cases and 35,042 deaths.
In addition, the Civil Protection Bulletin contains 196,806 rescued patients – 323 more than on Friday – and 757 hospitalized patients – 17 fewer than on Friday, 50 of them in the intensive care unit – without deviations. In addition, 11,561 people live at home in isolation.
The number of persons classified as “active” less redundancies and deaths has decreased from 12,456 to 12,368. By region, the majority of new positives are still concentrated in Lombardy (88), followed by Veneto (88), Emilia-Romagna (40), Lazio (20), Liguria (18) and Campania (15). The other regions posted single-digit increases, with the exception of Valle d’Aosta, Molise and Basilicata, where no cases were recorded.
In Lombardy, the region most affected by the new disease, there have been 88 new positive results and 10 deaths in the past 24 hours, with 16,788 deaths added.
The data from Lazio should also be emphasized, in which 12 of the 20 new cases are “imported”. “There are eleven cases from Bangladesh, one from Iraq and one from India,” said Health Minister Alessio D’Amato.
